Developers of World of Tanks announced on their social media channels that they have fixed a bug in the Frontline game mode which caused combat ranks to be assigned to players faster than intended.
The studio stated that the issue has been resolved and that the progression system now behaves as it did in previous launches. In their message they noted that the adjustment restores the intended pace for rank advancement.
Other in-game mechanics, including silver farming and related systems, remain unchanged. The team also confirmed that no account deductions are planned in connection with the fix, and players can continue to play as usual.
Frontline is a 30-versus-30 mode in which the attacking team advances by capturing bases and moving the front line forward. To secure victory, attackers must reach the nodes on the final line and destroy at least three out of five targets; the defending team must prevent that outcome.
The revamped Frontline mode became available on February 25. Among the changes, support objects were added and each player is now assigned a direction at the start of the battle, after which special combat missions become available.
The announcement came from the World of Tanks development team, and additional details about the updated Frontline mode were published by game press outlets shortly after the patch.
