Valve's Dota 2 development team published a report summarizing the latest round of fixes for bugs and security issues in the game. The full list of corrections was posted on the game's official update notes and covers a wide range of problems affecting client stability, gameplay interactions and item behavior.
Among the first fixes were a number of crash causes affecting both the game client and servers. The developers also removed a configuration option that allowed aspect names to appear above hero health bars, along with spectator and hotkey settings related to those aspects.
A notification issue that incorrectly reported who received gold for an assist was corrected, and a bug involving extremely large healing multipliers interacting improperly with very large health regeneration bonuses was addressed.
The team fixed a teleportation bug that allowed players to teleport to the Dire fountain and become stuck in trees, and they corrected an unintended self-triggering interaction for the Conjurer's Catalyst item when damage from that item would re-trigger its own effect.
Several item and damage interaction bugs were fixed: damage from Mage Slayer was no longer being reduced by melee heroes' innate physical damage block, and the effect of Shiva's Guard was corrected so that it now properly respects immunity to effects.
Aghanim's Scepter on Anti-Mage was fixed to reliably increase the maximum mana burn component of Mana Break in all cases. The developers also addressed an issue where Arc Warden's Tempest Double acquired duplicate consumables gained via the neutral item Forager's Kit.
Changes were made to Bloodseeker: the damage of Blood Rite was corrected to the intended values, and Bloodrage with Aghanim's Shard was fixed so that it properly pierces effect immunity where appropriate.
A bug that could cause Chaos Knight to unexpectedly receive the Nimble attribute was fixed. Multiple problems involving Chen's Holy Persuasion were corrected, including improper interactions with granite golems that allowed creep health to grow without bound, failure of cooldown reduction after using Holy Persuasion on a controlled creep, cases where the ability reduced the fanatic's health, a bug that canceled the fanatic's summon preventing its respawn after the owner's death, and instances where using Holy Persuasion could even kill the fanatic.
Dragon Knight's Dragon Form was corrected so that Wyrm's Wrath no longer applied its damage twice, and the freeze effect from Elder Dragon Form now properly bypasses or respects effect immunities as intended.
Drow Ranger's Marksmanship was fixed so it does not trigger on extra attacks granted by Specialist's Array and Hydra's Breath items. Elder Titan received fixes for Move Astral Spirit hotkey not updating correctly and for cases where Earth Splitter would fire in the wrong direction if a move command for the spirit was issued immediately beforehand.
Grimstroke's Dark Portrait illusions were corrected to ensure they have the appropriate 95% magic resistance, and multiple issues with Ink Trail were fixed so its effect reliably applies and its visual effect no longer disappears before the duration ends.
An issue with Jakiro's Liquid Fire not showing the spell radius when spell radius increases were applied has been resolved so the area of effect is displayed correctly.
Lich no longer loses all mana when casting Sinister Gaze on a Huskar who was recently affected by Silencer's Glaives of Wisdom. Legion Commander's Duel was fixed so the duel properly ends when the opposing unit is an illusion or a resurrecting hero, and Legion Commander can no longer be given a sequence of orders that allows movement during a duel.
Mars' Spear of Mars was corrected to prevent the creation of immobile spear objects in some cases. Meepo received a comprehensive set of fixes: shared item cooldowns among clones were fixed so common cooldowns behave properly when multiple items with the same shared cooldown are present; a server crash triggered by a Meepo carrying two Armlet of Mordiggian items was addressed; a crash exploit involving wards was closed; Meepo's ability to use multiple Hands of Midas at once was prevented; clones can no longer receive wards improperly; and various other vulnerabilities related to multiple copies of the same item on Meepo were eliminated.
Monkey King's Mischief now properly grants the ability to switch into the transformed state, and Morphling was fixed so that Replicate behaves correctly: Morphling now inherits the target's innate abilities when appropriate and uses the correct key bindings while Replicate is active.
Muerta no longer loses Supernatural effects when respawning with an Aegis of Immortal, and Night Stalker's Aghanim's Scepter no longer fails to reset ordinary ability cooldowns after killing Lone Druid's spirit bear in some cases.
Ogre Magi's Fireblast and Unrefined Fireblast were fixed so they can trigger repeatedly as intended even if another repetitive trigger is already in progress. An Omniknight talent that was erroneously giving an extra radius to Purification was corrected to match the intended talent effects.
Primal Beast no longer moves if Pulverize is reflected by Lotus Orb, and Pulverize's end behavior was fixed for cases where the ability is used on Soulbind-linked heroes while one of them is exiled.
A rare bug where Rubick would lose all abilities if he stole Amphibian Rhapsody and Wukong's Command at the same time was fixed. The developers also added a note to Spirit Breaker's Nether Strike to clarify that its knockback scales with Aghanim's Scepter upgrades.
Tiny's Tree Volley damage was corrected so it does not depend on whether Tiny was holding a tree at the moment he received Aghanim's Shard. An issue in Ability Draft where activating Eldwurm's Edda did not properly increase some ability values was also resolved.
Winter Wyvern's Winter's Curse was fixed to ensure that a kill caused by the curse is not incorrectly counted as a team kill on an ally if an enemy enters the area after the ability has been cast. Zeus' Lightning Hands was corrected so it is not disabled by default in the rare case he receives Aghanim's Shard while dead.
In total, the update addresses a broad range of gameplay, UI and stability issues across many heroes and items. Several of the fixes also closed critical vulnerabilities tied to item duplication and multi-copy interactions, particularly those involving Meepo clones.
On the night of March 28, Valve released balance patch 7.41a, which introduced balance changes including nerfs to Doom and Leshrac and adjustments to the stats of several items, heroes and abilities. Full details of the balance changes and the complete list of fixes were published in the official patch notes on the game's website.
