Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov admits leadership mistakes after Team Spirit’s 0–2 defeat to Team Vitality at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025

Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov, captain of Team Spirit, spoke publicly after his squad’s elimination from the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 in Counter‑Strike 2. Vishnyakov acknowledged shortcomings in his in‑game leadership following the series against Team Vitality.

“What can I say about the game? Mirage was good, but our attacking side was terrible,” chopper said, summing up the first map. “I think I wasn’t able to control the team and make good calls. That’s why it turned out this way.”

He commented on the second map as well: “On Dust2 we played well, but we gave away a couple of important rounds and failed to stabilize our economy. That happens when top teams face each other. Thanks to everyone who supported us. We’ll correct our mistakes and keep working.”

Team Spirit bowed out of the StarLadder Budapest Major after a 0–2 loss to Team Vitality. The organization finished tied for 3rd–4th place at the event and took home $80,000 in prize money. Vishnyakov and his roster said they will regroup and continue practicing to improve results at future tournaments.
