Aleksei 'Qikert' Golubev set to depart MIBR after loan spell — second exit in days as organisation prepares for January events

Aleksei 'Qikert' Golubev is set to leave MIBR, according to a report from a Brazilian outlet. His expected departure follows the organisation's announcement earlier this week that coach Jhonatan 'jnt' Silva had parted ways with the team, making Qikert the second exit in as many days for the Brazilian side.

Qikert arrived at MIBR in August on a loan agreement from PARIVISION that was due to run until the end of 2025. His signing formed part of an international reshuffle for the roster that also included the addition of young Russian prospect Klimentii 'kl1m' Krivosheev on loan.

Despite apparent interest from MIBR in retaining Qikert beyond the loan period, the two parties were unable to reach an agreement. As a result, Qikert is expected to return to the bench with his parent club in the new year.

During his time with MIBR, Qikert registered an average rating of 0.94. While with the team he contributed to domestic LAN success, with MIBR securing titles at events such as FERJEE RUsh and Circuit X South America Season 1.

On the international stage the team struggled: MIBR finished bottom of the standings at PGL Masters Bucharest and were eliminated in Stage 2 of the StarLadder Budapest Major, failing to produce the same results seen in regional competition.

With Qikert's exit, MIBR will have limited time to finalise a replacement. The squad is scheduled to compete at several South American events in January, including the BetBoom Rush B! Summit and Circuit X Curitiba, meaning any roster change must be completed quickly.

If Qikert departs, MIBR's active lineup would consist of Raphael 'exit' Lacerda, Breno 'brnz4n' Poletto, Felipe 'insani' Yuji and Klimentii 'kl1m' Krivosheev (on loan), supported by assistant coach Renato 'nak' Nakano. Rafael 'saffee' Costa remains listed as inactive.

The club has seen a period of transition: the recent exit of coach jnt removes an experienced staff member, while the prospective loss of Qikert means another mid-season adjustment for the squad. MIBR's management will need to act swiftly to stabilise the roster ahead of the packed South American tournament schedule.

For Qikert, the return to his parent organisation marks a pause in his spell with MIBR and opens the possibility of a reassessment of his club future once the loan concludes. MIBR, meanwhile, must balance replacing departed personnel with maintaining cohesion among the remaining players.
