Keychron unveils K2 Concrete Edition — a wireless keyboard with a concrete enclosure

Keychron has introduced a new version of its K2 wireless keyboard whose enclosure is made from concrete, the company announced on its official website. The Concrete Edition preserves the K2’s compact form factor while adopting an unconventional material choice for the case.

The K2 Concrete Edition weighs about two kilograms because of the concrete housing. It retains a 75% layout and is equipped with magnetic switches. Keychron also lists three connection methods for the model, allowing flexible use across different devices and setups.

The keyboard uses what Keychron calls TMR technology to sense key position. According to the manufacturer, this approach relies on magnetic fields and quantum effects to determine the position of each key, enabling an almost contactless actuation mechanism.

The manufacturer set the price at $200 (roughly ₽15,500). The package includes a variety of accessories: additional keycaps, a protective case, a keycap puller, a hex key, a Type-C cable, a set of adapters and other items bundled with the keyboard.

The concrete construction makes the keyboard notably heavier and less suited to frequent transport, but it offers a distinctive aesthetic and a substantial, solid feel that may attract enthusiasts and collectors looking for uncommon materials or a standout desk piece.

With the K2 Concrete Edition, Keychron combines an unusual structural material with its magnetic-switch TMR system, presenting an alternative for users who prioritize design novelty and a tactile, durable build over portability.
