CS2 analyst Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov shared his thoughts on the interim results of ESL Pro League Season 23 in a post on Telegram. He discussed PARIVISION’s early elimination, made predictions for the remaining matches of the first group stage, and reflected on the tournament’s current standing in the competitive calendar.
According to hooch, the Pro League once held a very prominent place in the calendar, but the sheer number of events today has diluted that status. He attributed PARIVISION’s defeat primarily to accumulated fatigue and suggested that an early exit may ultimately benefit the team: it gives them time to rest and to refresh their playbook before upcoming events in Rotterdam and Bucharest.
Hooch also commented on several individual teams and matches. He noted that Heroic recently picked up a LAN victory and have advanced to the next stage of this event. He predicted that G2 should defeat a downtrodden Ninjas in Pyjamas in their clash, and that Team Liquid would scrape past 3DMAX by the skin of their teeth — while adding that neither advancing side really looks deserving of the next phase. He closed that segment with a broader observation that the flood of tournaments seems to be sapping the vibe of watching matches, asking rhetorically if others feel the same.
ESL Pro League Season 23 runs from March 3 to March 15. The competition is structured with an online phase that includes two group stages, followed by an on-site LAN. The total prize pool for the event is $400,000. PARIVISION was eliminated at the conclusion of the first group stage, finishing that portion of the event with a match record of 2–3; interim standings and detailed results are available in tournament reports.
Looking ahead, PARIVISION’s next scheduled event is BLAST Open Spring 2026. The group-stage matches for that tournament will be played March 18–23 in a studio format in Copenhagen, Denmark, and the playoff portion will take place at Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
