Actress Famke Janssen will not be able to attend the Comic Con Igromir event in Russia as previously announced. Organizers cited a scheduling conflict as the official reason for her cancellation.
Janssen had been expected to make her first trip to Russia in December to meet attendees at Comic Con Igromir. The convention is scheduled to take place from December 12 to 14 at the Timiryazev Center in Moscow.
Organizers have said that ticket holders who purchased entry specifically to see Famke Janssen will receive refunds. The 61-year-old actress issued an apology to fans, explaining that she will be unable to participate in the planned question-and-answer sessions; three such sessions had been scheduled.
Famke Janssen is a Dutch actress, director and former model. She gained international recognition for her portrayal of Xenia Onatopp in the James Bond film GoldenEye and for playing Jean Grey in the X-Men film series.
Her other notable screen credits include appearances on the television series Nip/Tuck and roles in films such as Taken and the Netflix series Hemlock Grove, among other projects.
