Firaxis Games and publisher 2K Games will release a mobile edition of Sid Meier's Civilization VII for iOS devices. The game's listing has appeared in Apple's App Store, confirming an official iOS version of the new strategy title originally developed for PC and consoles.
The mobile build will be localized into eleven languages, including Russian, and its interface has been adjusted for smartphone screens while retaining support for mouse and keyboard input. Some features will be restricted on iOS: multiplayer will be disabled at launch, downloadable content will not be offered on the platform, and future updates may be issued with significant delays. Additionally, very large maps can only be run on devices that have at least 8 GB of RAM.
To play Civilization VII on iPhone, users will need a device running iOS 17.0 or later with an A17 Pro chip. The installation requires roughly 3.5 GB of free storage. The release for iOS is scheduled for February 5, 2026.
